Problem Note 33927: No group, Illegal group reference errors when calculating a model or exporting rules
If you are using SAS
® Profitability Management, and if your password has the special characters "$" or "\" embedded in it, you might encounter errors that begin:
No group..
or
Illegal group reference
The error might include a number or other characters.
It is important to note that the costed transaction table will be generated when you calculate a model, and the rules table will be exported when
you export assignment rules, even if the "No group.." error occurs. If you
calculate a model and encounter the "No group.." error, the sas7bvew file will not be created (or updated) in the model's input library.
To resolve this issue, do not include the special characters "$" or
"\" in your password.
Examples
Suppose your password is: "Passwd$3"
In the SAS Profitability Management client, choose "Calculate Model" ► "Calculate". Select the periods to calculate and the table groups you want to run in the calculation, and choose "Finish". At the conclusion of the calculation a SAS Profitability Management dialog might appear with the following error:
No group 3
In the SAS Profitability Management client, navigate to the Rules
workspace and select "Export assignment rules" ► "Export Rules". Select "Table name" ► "Save in" ► OK. A SAS Profitability Management dialog might show:
Failures occurred exporting assignment rules. Please see details.
Details:
Error process data.
java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: No group 3
(If the password used above is "Passwd$2", then the messages will show "No group 2" errors.)
